A big thank you to wedding and event planners Stellina Events for this lovely blog post about our store from Friday, October 23rd.
Catherine Ang and Rob Carlsen were married in San Juan, Puerto Rico on June 28th. We had the pleasure of working with them from the Save the Dates through the “day of” paper products.
We were happy to be able to help them achieve their personal goal of reflecting an intimate beach feel with their wonderful, vibrant palate of navy, teal and orange.

They started with a boarding pass Save the Date from Perfect on Paper which set the tone for the great trip ahead.
Then we customized their pocket folder invite from Marsupial with elegant shell and coral images.

The folder style helped organize all the details and information for the weekend festivities.

Finally the programs, placecards and menus used the shell theme in a delicate but whimsical way.
Here are Cat and Rob’s answers to our Real Wedding planning questions:
1) Name four adjectives that describe the feel / style of your wedding
Elegant, understated, tropical, and joyous
2) What is your favorite memory of your wedding day?
The first time we saw one another. We decided to see one another before the ceremony; Cat has traditionalist tendencies, so she really struggled with whether we should see one another beforehand. In the end, we decided to do it, and it was one of the best things we did. Both of us were walking balls of nerves and excitement the whole day; but when we saw one another for the first time, all of that vanished. It was a “here’s-the-person-I-love-and-I’m-going-to-spend-my-life-with-and-nothing-else-matters-because-s/he-is-here-now” moment. It was such a happy, exciting, and comforting moment of the day.
3) If you were to do it again (to the same person, of course) what would you do differently?
Honestly, we wouldn’t do anything differently.
4) What is your best one piece of advice to future brides and grooms?
Throughout the planning process and the day of, remember to remind yourselves that the wedding is about YOU. Many people may offer their thoughts, opinions, and ideas and/or come with their own expectations, but at the end of the day, this is about you and your partner. Take the time to figure out what’s most important to you both; from there, you can determine which things you’re willing to stand up for, and which ones are not worth the stress of arguing over.

Enjoy some fun pics of invites for weddings happening this holiday weekend.

Columbus Day weekend is one of the most popular wedding weekends of the year! It’s the perfect holiday weekend to book a wedding. Here in the East the weather is crisp, and most people have the three-day weekend but don’t have the family obligations of other holiday weekends.

We are so excited that we had such beautiful weather here in Brooklyn for all of our clients tying the knot.
Congratulations to all you Columbus weekend Brides and Grooms!

By far and away, my favorite part of my business is all the amazing happy couples we get to know so well over the many months we work together.

Of course, because we do everything well in advance (hopefully
) of the big day, we don’t often get to see the end results of the many hours of design, discussion and consultation. So we are always ecstatic when our clients send us pictures of their weddings. It is so fun to see how the vision all comes together and how the save the dates, the invitations and all the “day of” materials come togther to fill out the picture.
So we are thrilled to kick off this new exciting regular blog feature that will highlight our clients’ weddings!
We are asking our brides and grooms to answer four questions about their weddings:
1) Name four adjectives that describe the feel / style of your wedding
2) What is your favorite memory of your wedding day?
3) If you were to do it again (to the same person, of course) what would you do differently?
4) What is your best one piece of advice to future brides and grooms?

We will be posting their answers along with some pictures of their stationery choices and of their wedding.
If you are a client and are interested in being in this feature please email us the answers to our four questions and a few pictures from your wedding.
Stay tuned our first real wedding will be up in just a bit!
