JOIN US FOR THE 3RD ANNUAL SNOWFLAKE FESTIVAL
Thursdays December 3rd and December 10th.
Hopefully this year we’ll have actual snowflakes rather than raindrops, but come out and join us and shops throughout Park Slope. Everyone is staying open late and will have great sales and treats and there will also be entertainment along the street.
Here at Lion in the Sun we will be offering:
20% off everything storewide,
gift wrapping demonstrations every half hour from 6:00 on,
plus prosecco, cookies and treats while you shop.

Shhh… for our loyal followers only! Late at night and on holidays we have been hard at work on a new exciting project, Post Script Brooklyn.
Our very own invitation collection with the help of some of our great friends. Bringing our signature look to those who can’t make it to Brooklyn in person. Look for the big unveiling coming this spring.
We just unpacked our newest designer collection, Saima Says, and we couldn’t wait to tell you about it!.

This fabulous designer has worked one-on-one with private clients in the D.C. area and now has rolled out her collection to a small select group of boutiques nationally. We are grateful to be included and now you can view this beautiful collection right here in Brooklyn.

Her lush designs are printed in letterpress in deliciously thick 100% cotton paper with rich colored envelopes. Best of all they are priced at under $14 for a basic one-color suite.

Rush on in to see them soon!

By far, my favorite thing about owning a retail shop in Park Slope is being part of this great neighborhood.
Meet Laurie and Sam, two of our favorite neighbors. While we knew Laurie, an avid crafter and paper lover, from our early days when the store first opened, Sam is a newer addition.
Now that the two are inseparable, we love seeing them both. Although we think Sam is a little less excited to visit than Laurie (we don’t sell dog treats).
We thought it would be fun to share the cute cards Laurie makes with paper she’s bought at the store.

A bit late, but I wanted to post pics from our highly successful Brooklyn Bridal Blogger Event last week.
Thanks so much to our great particpants:
Vanè from Brooklyn Bride
Anne from “I will” to “I do”
Sarah from Brilliant Event Planning
Xochtil from Always a Blogsmaid
Loren and Tyler from Naturally Delicious

We had a great turn-out of lots of friends, old and new, and we had a great panel discussion featuring fantastic tips and some great stories.

I think my favorite part was when I asked about any real life wacky wedding stories. We all saw how even though minor disasters may happen, your vendors have seen it all and they are there to fix it! Xochtil even told a story about a bride whose train caught fire right before she was about to walk down the aisle!!! And they still had a beautiful ceremony and lived happily ever after. Another great reason to trust your wedding planners, your caterer and your stationer. We’ve got your back, in Xochtil’s case literally!

We are already excited about the next one, which will be in early January. Stay tuned!
Here’s a great interview with Melinda on being green from invitation options to in-store buying choices in Greetings, Etc.
We want to send out a big “Thank You” to the panelists and attendees for making October 28th’s Bridal Blogger Event such a huge success and so much fun! We’re already looking forward to the next event.
