Get excited, brides …  We are thrilled to announce that we are now carrying Smudge Ink’s Wedding book!  For years, we’ve offered their gorgeous boxed stationery, but now we’ve got a book full of beautiful wedding invitations, RSVP cards, save the dates, and more.

Based in Boston, in a converted textile mill right on the Mystic River, Smudge Ink cranks out stunning letterpress designs.  Their color palette is breathtaking, their papers are luxurious, their fonts are fabulous, and they offer up lovely finishing touches like rounded corners and envelope liners.  Their designs are beyond charming, and thanks to a range of styles, there’s really something for everyone.  Plus, with the customization options, it’s easy to amp up the formality or bring the fun up a notch.

How many stationers does it take to eagerly flip through a gorgeous new book of wedding invitation samples in one minute flat?  And then look through it at least ten more times in a single sitting?

As soon as Printerette Press’s beautiful blue binder arrived at the shop, we grabbed seats around the table and started turning pages.  We immediately fell in love with the charming and customizable letterpress and watercolor designs, carefully crafted by Catherine Polacek.  Believe it or not, Catherine used to be our neighbor here in Park Slope, and would swing by the shop to browse and hang out.  Now, she’s living in good old Minneapolis, but her incredible wedding collection still has a home here at Lion in the Sun.

It’s nearly impossible to play favorites once you’ve cruised her collection, but we’re loving The Faribault Suite …

And the super customizable The Lake of the Woods has been a big hit with our brides to be!
