New York City on Paper

Suddenly the shop is overflowing with a wide variety of New York City imagery on paper. Here are some favorite examples:

Local artist Adrian Tomine’s sometimes enigmatic, sometimes melancholy, always deeply felt drawings are collected in “New York Drawings”. While “New York Then and Now” brings together old and new photos of the ever-changing skyline and people.

Finally, “Paper New York” is a wonderfully fun way to learn about the architecture of the City via paper cutouts that you build. Create 3-D versions of iconic buildings like the Guggenheim Museum, the Flatiron Building, Rockefeller Center’s Ice Rink, and even a Hot Dog Cart!  Shown below, paper Hayden Planetarium waiting to be assembled.
